My name is Ash Morris and I’m a 22 year old Economics graduate.
This blog serves three purposes.
Firstly, and primarily, it gives me some place to put my thoughts. They are sometimes random, sometimes confused and too much for my head to handle. Please take some, they’re free. If I didn’t write them here and share the joy with the whole world then I’d probably drown in a wash of unrelated mumbo jumbo…
Secondly, it gives me practice writing. My aim is to become a TV producer and spend my life within the TV industry, and one of the skills it would be really, really useful to have is the ability to write well. A sports teacher once told me that, contrary to popular belief, practice makes “permanent”, not perfect. If he is right (and I reserve a lot of scepticism for the philosophical abilities of sports teachers) then writing on a semi-repetitive basis will make my writing faults permanent as opposed to improving my ability… it’s a risk I’m just going to have to take.
Thirdly, I enjoy writing. I find it relaxing. This blog is my spa, and you are my aromatherapy candles.
If all this writing is too much to handle, try out my twitter for bite-size snippets of me. Otherwise I leave you with a quote that inspires this blog, and my life;
I’m through accepting limits ’cause someone says they’re so. Some things I cannot change, but ’til I try I’ll never know… I think I’ll try defying gravity, and you won’t bring me down.
